Making Toys New Moulds out of 3D data

Process of developing a new toy from 3D data:

1. Customer send us the 3D data of the new product.
2. Our designers will modify the 3D data to make it suitable for a 3D mould file.
3. We will use this 3D data to make a PROTOTYPE (MOCK-UP SAMPLE) and send to customer for approval.
4. Once customer approves the mock-up sample, we can start making the mould. (The time of making the new mould is usually about 20-40 days)
5. Once the mould is finished, we will install it into the plastic injection machine for mould testing. (Normally it takes about one week for testing the mould.)
6. If the first-shot of sample has problem, the mould makers will adjust the mould until it’s perfect. After adjustment, we will send the final sample to customer for approval.
7. Once the final sample is approved by customer, we can start mass production.
